It’s worth spreading the news of the good things that the Ronald McDonald House is doing for families of sick children.
Some interesting facts:
What: When children are sick and being treated at the hospital, RMH gives the families a place to sleep and eat. They also have family rooms within the hospital as a peaceful retreat.
Who: It takes many dedicated volunteers, staff and donors to keep this service running.
Why: Expenses can be high, especially for families traveling fro out of town. While a small donation is suggested, there is no fee for the families to stay at the house.
Where: All over the world. There are 14 Houses across Canada, 14 across the U.K. and over 300 worldwide.
When: There is no time limit. Some families stay for days, weeks, and even a year or more. RMH is there for as long as the child is in the hospital.
